Course Objectives
- Be able to operate the machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers' instructions and accepted good practice.
- Carry out a pre-shift inspection.
- Site and operate the crane safely in response to given tasks using outriggers where applicable.
- Respond to and work with a Slinger using recognised hand signals.
- Recognise defects and hazards that affect crane motions.
- Have an understanding of responsibilities under Health and Safety at Work Order & other current relevant legislation.
Course Requirements:
- Eligible companies are able to claim grants for this training, which will pay for a substantial amount if not all of the training costs, as this course is CITB approved for grant purposes.
