Appointed Persons Lifting Operations
Course Summary
This three day course is aimed at those people that are responsible for the planning and execution of Lifting Operation. Delegates must be experienced and have the confidence to communicate information to others as well as the technical ability to prepare appropriate method statements for those working under their instruction.
The must be reasonably fit have good hearing, eyesight and be able to judge distances.
The course covers in detail all Heath and Safety Legislation and LOLER The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998.

- Load Handling/ Handling Methods
- Stacking and De-Stacking
- Weight Assessment and Capacities
- Capacities and the effect of Sling Angles
- Selecting Appropriate Equipment
- Signaling
- Practical Lifting. Maneuvering and transferring loads.
Course Requirements:
- Delegates will need to complee Theoretical and Practical Exercises throughout the course.
- Candidates will be required to complee Risk Assessments and Method statenebts in association with their Lifting Plans.
- Candidates will be issued Cerification on succesful completion of the course.
- NPORS cards are available rgistration fees and two passport photos are required.
